As a little appetizer, we visited the Nelspruit zoo. Obviously, animal captivity always raises questions, but it is an opportunity to really see the animals up close. During a safari, you only catch glimpses of them from far away. In Nelspruit, you can get close to them and sometimes even touch them. In any case, Nelspruit is the gateway to the famous Kruger park.
