What to know about Aquascope, the new water park at Futuroscope
Opened in July 2024, Aquascope is a 6,000-square-meter indoor water park at Futuroscope, located in Chasseneuil. Designed to blend technology with entertainment, it offers a variety of activities for the whole family. Its innovations earned it the 2024 "Best Water Park in the World" award from the Thea Awards.
Les Abysses de lumiere: a unique visual immersion
One of the signature attractions at Aquascope is "Les Abysses de lumiere," the first water cinema in Europe. Using video mapping, visitors swim through a fantastical, colorful world for a unique sensory experience. This installation has been recognized by prestigious international organizations including the "World Waterpark Association" in Las Vegas and the "Themed Entertainment Association" in Orlando.
8 slides for every thrill level
The park features 8 large slides catered to different intensity levels. Among them, the "Rocket" is a trap-door slide that hits speeds of 60 km/h (about 37 mph), perfect for adrenaline junkies. Other slides allow groups to ride together in four-person tubes, a solid option for sharing the experience with friends or family.
Zones for children and outdoor spaces
Younger guests have their own dedicated area called "La Faille de Kraki," a water maze designed for them to explore alongside Kraki the octopus. During warmer months, the outdoor beach, the dynamic river, and the summer pool provide extra space for the whole family to relax.
Reservations required
Note that reservations are mandatory to enter Aquascope due to capacity limits. Tickets can be booked online via the official Futuroscope website. All pools are kept at 29 degrees Celsius (about 84 degrees Fahrenheit), ensuring a comfortable swim throughout the year.

Nothing to complain about regarding the condition of the place, as it is brand new and particularly clean. Nothing to say about the staff either, as they were very professional and empathetic. There are plenty of activities, many of which are family friendly, and some are very immersive. We went in early April 2025, and since the outside temperatures were not very high, you could feel it inside at times with some occasionally unpleasant drafts. The water temperature in the pools varies, and some where you stay fairly still are sometimes chilly. My main complaint is the wait and the access to the various slides. To get to them, you have to climb stairs, sometimes quite a few, while carrying your tube (which is sometimes hard to get). Nothing unusual about that so far, but it is not easy to understand where to wait for a specific slide when it is crowded. A long line for one slide blocks access to another, less popular one. We went during the off-season, and I do not even want to imagine the wait during peak season! There are perhaps not enough spots to put down your towel. We had fun for 2 hours, which was enough for us. We do not plan on returning for now, as we prefer the Aqua Mundo concept at Center Parcs.
