Several companies offer regular rotations, allowing you to spend the day on the beach and return in the late afternoon, your eyes still dazzled by the blue of the water.
A film set and some unexpected locals
This beach has not only charmed travelers. In 1961, it was chosen to stand in for the beaches of Normandy during the D-Day landings in the cult film The Longest Day. But the most famous stars of Saleccia are undoubtedly its cows. It is not rare to see cattle lounging on the warm sand, creating a surreal scene and unforgettable photos. They are part of the local lore, wandering freely between the brush and the shoreline.

Take a shuttle to Lotu in the morning, then follow the coastal path (about a 1 hour and 15 minute easy walk) to Saleccia. Saleccia Beach is a bit unique, since you cannot get there directly with most vehicles. It is only accessible by 4x4 or by boat. It is the perfect opportunity to plan a day trip. It is a place that you really have to earn, for sure. But it is worth it, I guarantee you! Between the white sand and the crystal clear water... I really want to go back!
