The global leader in sightseeing passes
Getting the most out of a vacation is something we all think about, and companies actually built a business around it. Take Go City, an online platform founded in 1999 to help travelers experience destinations differently. They use sightseeing passes designed to let you hit the highlights of a city within a set timeframe while saving real money.
Available in 30 destinations worldwide and partnered with over 1,500 attractions and sightseeing experiences across the globe, Go City is the premier multi-activity pass brand rated 4.7 out of 5 on Trustpilot.
While they started with just a single pass in their lineup, today they manage around thirty options, forming a broad family that includes The New York Pass, The London Pass, and GoCity.com.
Scan, visit, and save
The one thing every Go City pass has in common is that they are 100% digital and live right on your smartphone.
Another shared feature is how straightforward they are to use, requiring just three steps. You select your destination, pick the pass that fits your travel plans and interests, and download the Go City application to your phone. From there, you just scan your pass quickly and easily at the entrance of each activity.
You certainly will not run out of things to do. Each pass gives you access to an impressive lineup of tourist attractions, tours, and activities ranging from the classics to the unexpected, including museums, observation decks, boat cruises, guided tours, and shows.
All of this comes for a very competitive flat rate, since Go City passes let you save up to 50% compared to buying standard tickets. Also worth noting: once your pass is scanned, you have nothing to pay on-site, and if your plans change, any unactivated pass is refundable up to 90 days after purchase.
This app is interesting for visiting big cities. I used it in New York City, for example, and I was entitled to three outings for a very good price: Empire State Building, The Edge, and Ellis Island / Statue of Liberty.
The only thing is that I found it tedious to use. Once the Go City Pass is activated, you have to book the monuments one by one, while keeping their hours, availability, etc. in mind, and it is not super intuitive.
