We went with Viventura for a Peru-Bolivia-Chile tour and overall we were satisfied, with the caveat of the negative points you mentioned. We consider ourselves satisfied because, upon re-reading the proposed program and what we discovered on the ground, we believe that what we discovered and experienced was fairly consistent with what the agency had announced: a fast-paced rhythm requiring good physical condition, long trips by bus and 4x4, average to basic but nevertheless clean hotels, etc. We have been traveling for many years in Asia and the Middle East, and we have seen much worse than what we experienced in Peru an…
