Located in Mol, within the Belgian Campine region, a lush area just 1 hour by car from Antwerp and at the gateway to the Netherlands, Sunparks Kempense Meren functions much like a Center Parcs for Belgium. It is a vacation village tucked into a beautiful nature reserve, specifically a vast pine forest bordering a lake with a sandy beach. The property is designed to provide a unique experience through its signature white brick cottages and a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
Activities:
Much like at any Center Parcs location, expect an active stay. Adults can take advantage of badminton, beach soccer, beach volleyball, stand-up paddleboarding, squash, or archery. For children, there is a trampoline, mini-golf, the Kids World play area, a petting zoo, and face-painting workshops. The region also offers 2,000 km of cycling and walking trails through the woods for family outings. Finally, there is Aquafun, the local equivalent of an indoor water park complete with slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river.
Accommodation:
You can choose between a vacation rental or a hotel room. The rentals come in two categories: Select (sleeping 4 to 10 people) or Exclusive (sleeping 2 to 6 people), with the latter offering higher comfort and additional services. Regardless of the category, both feature 4 basic amenities: a modern living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a shower or tub, and a private furnished terrace. The hotel rooms are designed for couples and include breakfast.
Dining:
Since vacations are for indulgence, the village features 6 dining options ranging from light snacks to full buffets. There is also a Shop point for stocking up on supplies, including bakery items, Belgian beers, and groceries. For those who prefer to stay in, a delivery service (pizza, fun cooking kits, breakfast, or picnic baskets) is available to make things easy.

From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome from the friendly and attentive staff. They made sure I had all the necessary information to fully enjoy my stay. Check-in was quick and efficient.
The villas are spacious, modern, clean, and well-equipped. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals (make sure to bring your own groceries, of course). The bedding was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a busy day.
One of the highlights of Sunparks Kempense Meren is the water park. The facilities are top notch, with a variety of slides, pools, and water games for all ages. I spent hours having fun in the water with my kids.
There were also plenty of other activities available: tennis, mini-golf, bowling, and many others. The downside: most of the other activities cost extra. The surrounding area offers beautiful hiking trails and bike paths to explore.
