The process is straightforward and works in three steps. Select your destination, choose the pass that best fits your travel plans and interests, and download the Go City app to your phone. From there, you simply scan your pass at the entrance of each attraction.
The variety of activities is extensive. Each pass grants access to a high number of tourist attractions, tours, and experiences, ranging from the classics to more unique finds, including museums, observation decks, cruises, guided tours, and shows.
You pay a single upfront price, which can lead to savings of up to 50% compared to buying individual standard tickets. Once your pass is scanned, you have nothing to pay at the gate, and if your plans change, any non-activated pass is refundable for up to 90 days after purchase.
This app is interesting for visiting big cities. I used it in New York City, for example, and I was entitled to three outings for a very good price: Empire State Building, The Edge, and Ellis Island / Statue of Liberty.
The only thing is that I found it tedious to use. Once the Go City Pass is activated, you have to book the monuments one by one, while keeping their hours, availability, etc. in mind, and it is not super intuitive.
