This museum is fun to visit with kids. It covers the whole chocolate making process and includes several little tastings. The museum isn't exceptional, but it makes for a good time, especially if the weather is bad.

If you have read my previous reviews, you already know that I love abbey and Trappist beers. Visiting the Achouffe brewery is a different experience from visiting abbeys, perhaps because of the atmosphere there. The gnomes (the brewery's emblem) are clearly pranksters here, but they are not the only ones. Our guide was too, telling us the history of La Chouffe with humor and a charming Belgian accent. You are going to have a blast! The shop offers many products, some of which are quite surprising. The drive from La Roche-en-Ardenne to get to the Achouffe brewery is just sublime ;-)

This was our second time at Espace Chimay. During our first visit, which was late in the day, we were only able to enjoy L'Auberge de Poteaupré. It was a particularly lovely moment at sunset with abbey beers and cheeses, and we promised ourselves we would come back. Now we have. We had lunch at L'Auberge de Poteaupré (our second positive experience there) before enjoying the Chimay Experience and finishing with a tour of the Scourmont Abbey. I recommend Espace Chimay to all Trappist beer lovers of course, but the place is also very family friendly (there is a huge playground for kids right in front of the terrace at L'Auberge de Poteaupré) and set in the middle of nature.

A visit not to be missed when you are wandering around Dinant. With my admission ticket (booked in advance on the website / 15 euros in 2025), I was able to enjoy the tour of the Maison Leffe, taste a 33 cl Leffe of my choice in a magnificent garden with a remarkable view of Dinant, and leave with a 33 cl glass as a gift. The tour lets you discover or rediscover the different Leffe beers, their aromas, how they are made, and their history. As a fan of Belgian beers, this visit was very informative for me, as well as for my wife and daughter, with interactive kiosks making the experience very fun and family friendly.

A must-see spot for the whole family visiting Brussels! The setting of the museum, housed in an old department store, is already splendid, and then you learn so many things about the fabulous world of comic strips. The exhibits evolve over time, and you discover all the heroes from our childhood, from Gaston Lagaffe to Boule and Bill and other stars of the comic world. It should be noted that the museum could use a facelift to give it a bit more energy. A strong point is the beautiful shop at the entrance, calling all fans of the 9th Art!

I love Flemish painting and I really liked this museum. It is not huge, but it is very rich. I admired the Van Eycks and discovered several Flemish painters, especially Hans Memling. The works are highlighted beautifully in spacious rooms with seats to sit down. The collection of prayer manuscripts is also magnificent. I liked the expressionism section less, as it is smaller. Remember to bring your headphones to enjoy the MB Explorer digital guide, which gives plenty of information about the paintings on display.

I had already visited the chocolate museum in Paris and this one is not very different. Choco-Story immerses us in the chocolate-making process, from the pod to the sculptures. I did not learn much more, but the presentation is quite fun. At the end, you can watch a live demonstration and taste a few pieces. That was by far the highlight of the visit. I recommend doing this museum with your family, otherwise, it is not a must-see for me.

As a child, I was totally amazed by this museum and had such fond memories of it. I came back as an adult and was really disappointed by the content. Even though there are nice figurines and fun comic book sets on display, the majority of the panels just show copies of pages from various comics accompanied by a brief description, or conversely, very technical details written in tiny print. The layout is very inconsistent and lacks any real logic. On the other hand, the shop is packed with all kinds of goodies and is perfect for finding gifts. Only for true comic book fans and kids.

And to think some people still struggle to see comics as a true art form, the 9th art. At the Moof, true fans have created sets inspired by different comics to showcase hero figurines. There are also explanations on the different ways to create comics, in Belgium of course, but also in France, Japan (the land of manga), and the US (the comics). There is also a section describing how comics are adapted into animated shows on screen. Informative and entertaining, just a stone's throw from the Grand Place.

Nice little museum to visit with the family. Demonstrations on chocolate making and craftsmanship, small tastings, and a box of chocolates offered as a souvenir. The film explains quite a few things. There are old and new objects explaining the history of production, from the cocoa bean to the tools. You can see artistic chocolate creations that are halfway between sculpture and a treat.
