Of all the beaches in Ibiza, Cala d'Hort Beach offers the best view. This 200-meter cove of fine white sand sits beneath cliffs, facing the islets of Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell. Rising 385 meters, the former is steeped in local legend. These jagged rock formations make this spot perfect for sunsets.
Located on the west coast, four kilometers from San Antonio, Cala Salada is a secluded escape. Far from the famous nightlife of Ibiza, this cove lets nature set the tone. Guarded by cliffs and pines, its 100-meter sandy shore is rare. The water is warm and clear, perfect for swimming. Nearby, Cala Saladeta offers a smaller, quieter spot reachable by a rocky forest path.
The rugged coast of Spain serves up postcard views, and Caló del Moro is the prime example. Tucked below cliffs near Santanyi, this tiny cove features a stretch of sand under 50 meters long. Surrounded by rock and greenery, these warm, clear waters feel like a natural swimming pool perfect for snorkeling.
Set within the beautiful natural landscape of the Ses Salines National Park, Salinas Beach is a premier vacation spot. Its 1,500 meters of fine sand meet warm, clear Mediterranean waters and pine forests. As the most popular beach on Ibiza, it captures the island's party spirit, often attracting celebrities. With music, bars, and water sports, it is essential.

This isn't the beach I liked the best in Ibiza. It is located right in the city, so it is easy to get to but always attracts a huge crowd. It is hard to find a quiet spot to settle down. If you are looking for a lively scene, then you should like it. On the other hand, it is not the ideal place for peace and quiet.
Not great because of the planes

I didn't really like Playa d'en Bossa. Honestly, I didn't stay very long. It is really crowded, and most of all, the beach is directly under the flight path for planes taking off or landing at the nearby airport. It is not exactly the ideal spot for a quiet, relaxing day. I would recommend choosing a different beach if you want to chill out.

While this beach is stunning with its crystal clear water and white sand, it also attracts a huge crowd. It is the most popular beach in Ibiza and you can really tell. The vibe is festive and lively, maybe a little too much from my point of view. If you want some peace and quiet, just head a bit further away, as you will easily find other beaches. It is not ideal with kids either.

It is almost like a postcard, except that they built a hotel block on one of the rocky headlands, which ruins the scenery. A shame.
It is still my favorite beach in Cala d'Or regardless.

This port town in the northeast of Mallorca is known for boat trips heading toward the Formentor peninsula. In our case, we took a catamaran that sails past the Formentor lighthouse and makes a stop in open water for swimming or paddleboarding. We had an hour to swim at Formentor Beach, a sandy bay surrounded by pine trees.
The scenery of these tree-covered cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean is nice to see.

Come early in the morning, otherwise you won't even have a spot to put your towel.
Swimming is super pleasant in the turquoise waters. There is a sort of cave carved out by the waves that you can check out by swimming a few dozen yards out.
With a nice setting and a great location, the spot is perfect for relaxing between two lively nights out. You can even spend the early evening there, as the bars and restaurants stay open.

Very pretty views at sunset, as the sun dips into the sea and silhouettes the island of Es Vedra.

Cala Salada is the most beautiful one I have seen, surrounded by hills covered in pine and scrub, opening up to crystal clear, warm water. It is top notch. The beach and the first few feet of water are sandy. A bit far from the main town, which is maybe why it is so quiet, and the trip is worth it.
