No doubt about it, the Universal parks are really impressive and know how to get you in the mood! This one in particular, the rides are truly crazy. Flying Dinosaur is by far my favorite, and Hollywood Dream is incredible too. You really get your fill of roller coasters, but there are also more chill attractions, all set in worlds that are incredibly decorated every time (Harry Potter, Jaws, Jurassic Park...)! One thing to note, the Japanese locals love to wave at you from below while you are on the rides!

A must-see for all fans of iconic fictional universes. I am not really into theme parks, but I enjoyed the experience. Everything is done to make you feel like you have stepped into another world. The space is huge. There is something for everyone, from Mario to Harry Potter to Hello Kitty. Only downside: it is a pretty expensive day out, just like other attractions of this kind in France or elsewhere. Plan on an express pass so you do not have to wait too long.

Managed by one of the fanciest hotels in the world, this water park is really well equipped. Slides, pools, a beach, lounge chairs, a lazy river, waves... You can spend an entire day there as a family without getting bored at all.

Universal Studios Japan definitely reminded me of the Universal Studios in Los Angeles, even though it has its own local flair. You can really see that in the Nintendo area, which is hands down my favorite. Obviously, the crowds are there, especially in high season when the weather is nice. That is why I recommend getting the Express Pass, which is valid for the attractions of your choice so you can skip the lines, but it does double the price of your ticket.

Mario, Harry Potter, Hello Kitty, Snoopy... a very pleasant theme park that felt huge to me, where, of course, the lines are endless just like in every other theme park. The vibe is super nice, the walkways and restaurants are very clean, and there is a ton of attractions for the whole family. Be careful with the little ones or those who are more sensitive in the stunning Hogwarts castle, it really shakes quite a bit! For Mario, make sure to find out how to book an entry time slot as soon as you arrive. A great time to be had, without a doubt.

Some of the slides offer real thrills and there is not too much of a wait, about fifteen minutes for the most popular ones. The place is clean and well maintained by the staff. Fun and safe for kids. You can buy food on site. I was able to bring my own water without any issues. The small downside is the price, which is pretty painful if you go with a big group.

We also enjoyed the beach, which is well equipped, for a few breaks in the sun. The kids have their own dedicated space, without long lines, with slides and a well-designed water area. As for the food, even though it is a bit pricey, there are accessible options like a burger for €15 (about $16). An experience I would do again without hesitation! After the disappointment of Legoland, I actually had fun here! There are slides where you really pick up speed, where you get an adrenaline rush. And there are quite a few varied attractions to try out!

Given the price, I expected more. Sure, the park is designed primarily for kids, but as for thrills, don't hold your breath. Once they hit 10, your "teens" might get bored. Same goes for the Lego building activities, it is pretty basic. Don't expect to be able to build huge floating castles. To sum it up: if you have a big budget and young children, why not, but otherwise...
