Cairo International Stadium at a Glance
Originally built in 1960 and later updated in 2004, Cairo International Stadium stands as the premier sports venue in Egypt. Positioned in the eastern sector of the capital, the arena holds up to 75,000 spectators.
Throughout the year, the pitch hosts home matches for its two resident soccer clubs, Al Ahly SC and Zamalek. It also serves as the primary home ground for the Egyptian national soccer team.
In 2019, the venue naturally served as a core host site for the Africa Cup of Nations, staging multiple tournament fixtures including the final on July 19.
