Accor Arena, Paris Bercy

Where to stay near Accor Arena: the 3 areas to know in 2026

Our four members have written about the Accor Arena in Paris-Bercy after hearing music there, and their verdicts differ on the sound. Three describe the same flaw, “the bass and percussion tended to drown out all the other sounds”, while the fourth finds that “the sound is good as well”. One of them gives 1 out of 5 and concludes, for music, “stay away”, whereas another loved her Zimmer and Morricone evenings.

That disagreement is the most useful thing on this page: the low end dominates, and depending on the genre, it changes everything. For the rest, the hall is in town, two minutes from the metro and 1.3 kilometres from the Gare de Lyon. Three areas: Bercy at the foot of the stands, the Gare de Lyon for anyone arriving by train, and the rest of Paris, which line 14 brings back here without a change.

Bercy, at the foot of the hall Between the Boulevard de Bercy and the park

For anyone set on ending the evening without transport

The district did not exist in this form before the wine warehouses were converted: a park, new buildings, the ministry and the hall, which puts on nearly 130 evenings a year. These two houses are the only ones here where you go to bed without taking any transport when 20,300 people come out together, and one of them describes itself as facing the Arena. Bercy Village, its shops and its restaurants, is 1.7 kilometres away.

Paris, from the Library to the rest of the city 1.1 kilometres by the footbridge, and beyond by line 14

For anyone coming for Paris and adding a concert

Line 14 and the suburban trains of the Gare de Lyon put the hall within reach of the whole city: you can therefore sleep anywhere in Paris and come to the concert without a change. Our two addresses are on the opposite bank, 1.1 kilometres away by the footbridge, in front of the four towers of the Library, in that Paris of the 1990s built on the old goods stations. They share the same mark, 8.6, on solid review counts.

Our tips for booking the right place

  • On the sound, our four members disagree, and that is the most useful fact: Three describe the same flaw: “the bass and percussion tended to drown out all the other sounds” for one, “the sound still vibrates with the bass” for another, “a mess of poorly managed mid-low frequencies” for the third, who gives 1 out of 5. The fourth simply writes that “the sound is good as well”. Practical conclusion: for a concert where subtlety matters, know that the low end dominates here; if it is for hip-hop or film music with effects, our reviews are enthusiastic.
  • The refurbishment changed the hall, and one member remembers the old one: She used to go for figure skating when “the sound would crackle horribly and the ceiling was covered in pipes”, and notes that since then “everything has been redone, the acoustics have improved a lot”. The work lasted eighteen months and was completed in October 2015, raising the capacity from 17,000 to 20,300 seats; that is when the Palais omnisports became the Accor Arena. The stands have no pillar at all, so the view is clear everywhere.
  • Two tips from our members that the box office will not give you: The first is a service: “there is a bar open in the pit, opposite the stage”, which “lets you grab a drink without having to leave”, and another member found “beer, wine, and glasses of champagne” there. The second is a warning about seating: the orchestra seats, “which are the most expensive”, have “the chairs all on the same level so you are unfortunately easily blocked by the people in front of you”. At equal price, the stands see better.
Where not to stay near Accor Arena
  • Taking an orchestra seat thinking you are paying for the view: our member warns that the chairs are all on one level.
  • Choosing Bercy to dine after the concert: the offices close early, and the tables are near the station.
  • Waiting until the last minute: only two addresses stand at the foot of the hall, for nearly 130 evenings a year.

FAQ: where to stay near Accor Arena

Sleep in Bercy or towards the Gare de Lyon?
In Bercy if the concert is the reason: these are the only two houses from which you regain your room without transport, and the leading one shows 8.7 on three thousand seven hundred judgements. Towards the Gare de Lyon if you arrive by high-speed train: 1.3 kilometres separate the platforms from the hall, the settings there are rated 9.4 and 9.2, and the cheapest bed on these pages is found there. Elsewhere in Paris if the city is the real reason: line 14 links the hall with no change, and our two addresses on the opposite bank are 1.1 kilometres away by the footbridge.
How many seats does the Accor Arena hold?
20,300 since the refurbishment completed in October 2015, against 17,000 before: eighteen months of work turned the Palais omnisports de Paris-Bercy into the Accor Arena. The hall puts on nearly 130 events a year, from sport to concerts, and its stands have no pillar at all, which clears the view.
Is the sound good for a concert?
Our four members do not agree, and the matter is settled before buying a ticket. Three report the same thing, bass and percussion that “drown out all the other sounds”, one of them speaking of “a mess of poorly managed mid-low frequencies” and advising against the hall for music. The fourth, who came for Hans Zimmer and Ennio Morricone, “loved these concerts” and finds the acoustics far better since the work.
Which seats should you choose?
Not the orchestra if you are short: our member notes that these seats, “which are the most expensive”, have “the chairs all on the same level”, so “you are unfortunately easily blocked by the people in front of you”. The stands, for their part, are raked and free of pillars. And for the wait, a bar opens in the pit, opposite the stage.
How do you reach the hall?
By metro: the Bercy station, on lines 6 and 14, is about two minutes from the entrance, at 8 Boulevard de Bercy. Line 14 comes from the Gare de Lyon, thirteen hundred metres away, and the Gare d'Austerlitz is 1.6. On foot, the Bibliothèque François-Mitterrand is 1.1 kilometres off by the footbridge, and Orly airport 16 kilometres.
What is there to see in the quarter?
Bercy Village and its old wine stores, 1.7 kilometres away, the Bercy park at the foot of the hall, the Jardin des Plantes 2.1 kilometres off and the Bastille 2.3. Notre-Dame is 3.7 kilometres away: the rest of Paris begins there, and the city guide takes over.
