Plenty of city dwellers make the trip to trade screen time for fresh mountain air and carve up the 85 km of slopes or check out the resort amenities like the Freestyle Jump area, the snowpark, dedicated sledding and slalom tracks, the speed run, and the boarder cross zone. Do not miss the chance to try out night skiing once the sun goes down.
Because Super-Besse carries the Famille Plus label, it works well for families, giving kids access to dedicated snow play areas along with the kids' clubs at the rental running for ages 3 months to 17 years with activities ranging from developmental play and creative workshops to dance and sports tournaments.
The partnership goes both ways. While the mountain provides the ski terrain, the rental takes care of lodging with its 126 units sleeping 2 to 6 people, spread across small buildings with mountain views. Most of these accommodations have been fully renovated and come with a balcony, though keep in mind there are quite a few outdoor stairs to navigate across the property.
As for dining, the on-site restaurant overlooks the mountains and serves up buffet meals available on a half-board or full-board basis. There is also a bar with a fireplace for warming up after a day in the snow.
