Crossing the Dom Luís I Bridge was a real highlight for me. You absolutely have to do it on a nice day to fully enjoy the view of the Douro. The vibe on the Vila Nova de Gaia side is awesome, very lively and perfect for extending your walk. A nice little bonus was the cable car to get back up, especially with kids. They loved it! It is a beautiful and fun experience that is such an essential part of the charm of Porto.

We visit stadiums often (basically whenever we are in a big city) and this one is well organized, with a smooth and logical route. The locker rooms, the players' tunnel, and the pitch-side area are interesting and impressive (even without attending a match). Remember to book ahead! It is a bit of a trip from central London, but easily accessible by the Tube. A good visit, modern and well thought out..

Doi Inthanon National Park is a place we really loved. You feel completely cut off from the world, surrounded by nature. The views are unbeatable all along the route, and the ride up in the truck is a cool experience in itself, already a total change of scenery. The air is cooler, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the landscapes are magnificent. An incredible nature break that I recommend without hesitation.

Wat Arun temple is a must-see in Bangkok. We hadn't done it yet, and it really is a visit you shouldn't miss. The architecture is magnificent, different from the other temples, and the atmosphere at sunset is incredible. Getting there by boat on the Chao Phraya adds even more to the charm of the experience. Very photogenic and a nice change of scenery, I highly recommend it. Personally, I loved every temple visit. The kids were getting a bit tired of yet another temple to visit, but the boat arrival added a fun element for them.

We really loved the London Eye. The view over London is incredible, even when the weather isn't perfect. The capsule moves slowly, so you have time to observe everything without any stress. A little tip: book in advance! It helps you skip part of the line, but be careful, even with a reservation, the wait is still long. You should know that before you go, especially with kids. It remains a very touristy and fairly expensive attraction, but honestly, it is worth it at least once. We don't regret it! However, during a second trip to London, we didn't do it again because we felt doing it once was enough.

Soulac is a seaside resort I have known forever. I used to go there as a kid, and my parents later bought a house over by L'Amélie, so it is really a place that is part of my life. Being only 45 minutes from my place, I have to leave a review because I know this town well! I really love its typical architecture and its slightly retro vibe. In the summer, I find the town pleasant and, above all, very safe, which makes it a family destination where you feel comfortable. And in winter, it is the complete opposite: much quieter, almost soothing, and perfect for walking peacefully on the beach. The activities are varied: surfing, the carousel in the square, markets, and lots of super cute little…

My biggest favorite in Dublin! Just the unique nature of the tour made me want to go. At first, we didn't really get the concept or how it was organized, and with the English spoken by an Irishman, well, when you aren't bilingual, it is a bit complicated. But once inside, you quickly forget the language barrier because the place is impressive. And even catching only part of the explanations, you are left speechless! The atmosphere, the history, the cells, the corridors, it is really engaging and it makes your stomach turn a little. You come out with real emotion, if only these walls could talk! And it is not even that old. Important tip: you have to book in advance to be sure you can do it…

We really had a great time at the La Rochelle Aquarium. The entrance tunnel sets the mood right away (and impresses the younger ones!) The tanks are very pretty, there are a lot of different species, and the visit is really easy to navigate. It is smooth and well organized. I really loved the second part, called the Tropical Forest with all the plants and the greenery. It is super soothing and really beautiful. The place is clean, well organized, and for a family outing, the €64 (about $69) seemed totally reasonable to us. A nice visit to do if you are passing through the region, or if you are simply from the area!

We really wanted to check out the Chatuchak Market, as it has a reputation for being a must-see in Bangkok. Having already visited several markets in Thailand (Chiang Mai, Phuket, and we loved them!), we wanted to see this one. It is true that it is huge AND varied. From home decor and clothes to souvenirs and food, you can really find everything. Everything you can imagine! Prices are generally very good, even if some stalls are a bit more high-end, and there are also quite a few knockoffs. This is actually where we did the majority of our souvenir and gift shopping. There is an enormous amount of choice and it is one of the best places to find what you are looking for. The part that left t…

We discovered the Museum of Illusions in Bordeaux as a family (kids aged 10 and 14) and really had a great time. The interactive illusions, where you actually get to participate, were clearly the kids' favorites. Perfect for making fun of the parents! The areas that required a bit of reading didn't hold their attention as much, though I personally would have spent more time there. Overall, it is still an original and fun outing, especially during a quiet time slot (we chose well thanks to the booking system). The only small downside: the price felt a bit high compared to the time spent on site.

The library itself is really impressive, especially if you love to read. The place is magnificent and clearly worth a look. There is an atmosphere there that is absolutely inexplicable to me. You can feel the history, every book has a soul, it is peaceful, and the visitors respect the quiet, which I really appreciated! We used the audio via the app (it is free) and it is convenient, but you need your own headphones. We did not have enough for everyone, so we did not get as much out of it as planned. On the other hand, I was less thrilled by the Book of Kells and the new interactive room. It is interesting, but it was not my favorite part. In the end, the library alone is worth the visit.
