A quiet retreat in Limburg
Center Parc Het Meerdal, located in the Limburg province of the Netherlands, is a destination built for families and nature lovers. Surrounded by dense forests and scenery, this property offers a quiet escape while packing in enough activities to keep every age group busy.
The layout centers on a small lake, which is the spot for water activities like pedal boats and fishing. The Aqua Mundo, the park's water complex, is a massive pool area with heated water, slides, and a lazy river. In the summer, an Aquapark adds inflatable obstacles on the water for an extra challenge. Both kids and adults can even use their stay as a chance to try introductory scuba diving.
Het Meerdal also leans into outdoor recreation. You can visit the petting zoo, bike or hike through the surrounding woods, tackle the ropes course, or try your hand at archery. For those who want to stay active, the park has tennis and badminton courts along with mini-golf. Younger children have their own dedicated indoor play area, BALUBA, which features climbing structures, trampolines, and slides.
Cottage categories
Center Parc Het Meerdal offers a range of units to fit different group sizes. The cottages, available in comfort, premium, and VIP levels, can sleep between 2 and 8 people. The VIP units come with extra perks like private saunas, hot tubs, and large terraces facing the trees. The park also features specialized options, such as Baby cottages equipped for infants and Dog cottages designed to accommodate your pets.
When you are not cooking in your fully equipped kitchen, there are 6 restaurants and snack spots located right on the grounds.

In a somewhat remote spot in the heart of the Dutch countryside, this stay was a nice surprise. The staff was super welcoming, the pools were pretty impressive, and even though the wait for the slides was long, the kids loved the farm. In short, we had a blast.
The points to improve (to keep things positive):
- Create more slides to vary the experience and reduce the lines
- Provide softer bedding
- Please rethink the restaurant food! For example, we are not far from Belgium, but the fries are very mediocre :(
