Months went by without being able to book (no dates available) on Funbooker, even though dates were open on other sites.
We then called the artisan directly, who informed us they HAD NOT BEEN IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THEM SINCE SEPTEMBER 2025.
Funbooker's reaction: their terms and conditions state that in case of non-delivery of services, only store credit is possible.
We could understand that for a partnership that ended later, but selling a service when you already know you cannot honor it is at the very least a mistake that warrants being a good sport and issuing a refund.
Not according to FUNBOOKER, which dodges the issue despite follow-up emails and a call to customer support, which replied like a robot, "You received an email response, you will not get any others."
A mistake, we understand that. Even when we informed them in APRIL 2026 that you can still find FUNBOOKER in the top results on Google when searching for this artisan. We understand.
But refusing to refund in this specific case, I do not think we can still call that a mistake.
It is impossible to believe that store credit is the only solution. Because selling a service that is impossible to fulfill only to redirect people toward ones they know they can do is quite the business plan.
Not to mention the cost of the other services, which are either lower, resulting in a loss of money for the buyer, or higher, requiring an additional payment from the buyer.
In short, go directly through the artisans, who are often very friendly, and do not use intermediaries who will not care about your opinion as it gets buried in the pile of others.
