Zero customer support

Seriously, stay away. They have zero consideration for the customer! I used the Los Angeles branch for a road trip through the American West. I had no complaints when we picked up the car. We chose a Nissan Rogue from the SUV category included in our reservation. However, the rental agency gave us no information about our choice of vehicle, even though it is well known out there that this model often breaks down in hilly terrain.

The result was that we broke down in the middle of Death Valley. There was no cell service, and the vehicle's SOS function did not work. After being rescued by someone passing by, we contacted ALAMO. They offered us no solution because we were in the middle of the desert. We ended up spending the night at a gas station because we could not make it to our hotel.

Finally, after at least 8 calls to ALAMO and an entire evening and morning wasted, they suggested we rent another vehicle in a town an hour and a half away, which we had to reach on our own by taxi. It has been almost two months, and we are still waiting for ALAMO to offer us compensation for the expenses we incurred (200 USD for the taxi plus the missed hotel night).

Unprofessional agency at the Montpellier train station

First annoyance, the vehicle they gave me wasn't the model I reserved. It was an equivalent model, because the one I booked wasn't available... Fine, I'll let that slide...
Second annoyance, the vehicle was dirty and poorly maintained. And honestly, I don't see what excuse could justify that.
In short, not serious.
