The long-standing specialist for Greece
If the gods created Greece, humans created the travel agency Héliades in 1974 to help you explore its many sides and enjoy the best of this authentic destination.
To do so, they offer a wide range of packages for Greece and its islands (the Cyclades, Crete, the Ionian Islands) that you will not find with any other travel agency: tours, Héliades clubs, luxury hotels, boutique hotels, rentals of apartments and villas, road trips, custom itineraries, island hopping, and flight-only options. It is a difficult choice that has made Héliades the number one operator for Greek destinations for nearly 50 years, with another major strength: their unmatched presence on the ground.
Thanks to their offices and teams based locally, every traveler knows there will always be a Héliades representative to assist them during their stay. Furthermore, the agency staff knows the properties, the itineraries, and the sites to visit extremely well, which provides a genuine guarantee and valuable advice for any traveler looking to discover Ancient Greece and beyond.
Present in over twenty sunny destinations today
Following its acquisition by the Marietton group in 2018, the tour operator now offers many more destinations than just Greece and its islands. Among these, you will find the Caribbean, Cape Verde, Cyprus, Malta, Portugal, the Dominican Republic, and more. In short, no fewer than twenty sunny destinations await travelers departing from 15 cities in France via charter and scheduled flights.
Absolutely avoid the Héliades travel team!
We went on a family vacation to Santorini and Paros. The Galatis hotel in Paros is completely run down and unworthy of the 3-star hotel we thought we were getting. Cracked walls, broken tiles, rusty faucets, shower mosaic peeling off, bathroom door impossible to close, balcony window door broken, broken screen, etc. Pathetic breakfast. Almost nothing to eat even at 9:00 AM. Since the owner didn't care at all about our request regarding the window door, we didn't try anything else. A person from the Heliades group confirmed to us that this is well known. "Clients are constantly complaining about the dilapidated state of the Galatis hotel. We report it to the Héliades group, but nothing ever changes." Sure enough, there are only French people in the hotel. Upon returning, we filed a complaint through the travel agency, but we have had absolutely no response for 2 months!
