Not the cheapest, but a great trip

Personally, I didn't have any problems with them.

The service was decent for the price, let's say. It's true that they don't offer the cheapest rates, but even so, we had a great trip.

Very poor organization

Last March, I booked a trip to London on ebookers (flight + hotel) for the May 1st weekend.

After trying at least twenty times to pay with my credit card online, it was always declined for no reason (I contacted my bank and they found no issues), so a friend made the payment for me, but of course, booked it under my name.

Our departure for London was scheduled for Saturday, April 29th at 11:10 AM from Orly, so my daughter, one of her friends, and I arrived at the airport around 9:30 AM. There, the first surprise, our flight had been canceled a few days after my purchase and no one notified us. Worse, two days before departure, I received an email from ebookers to prepare for the trip, which recapped, among other things, the flight times as apparently unchanged!!! We ended up losing half a day wandering around the airport, not taking off until 3:00 PM…

In London, client information was not sent to the hotel by ebookers. The manager confiscated our suitcases and we had to argue for a very long time to explain that the stay was paid for. This gentleman had been told that we had canceled the reservation (surely following the refusal of my credit card) and had received no confirmation regarding our payment, which was made in my name by a friend. He did not want to let us leave and wanted me to pay for the stay again, which I obviously refused. He finally let us go after photocopying the email sent on 04/27 by ebookers, of which I fortunately had a copy, and by taking my exact contact details as well as a photocopy of my passport. We were essentially treated like thieves.

After all these humiliations, we arrived at the airport half an hour before takeoff following a frantic rush, and the check-in counter was of course closed. Faced with our despair, the agent was kind enough to check our bags and asked us to run to the boarding gate. In the panic, we naturally forgot to transfer our creams, drinks, and other products into our suitcases and were held up for a very long time to be fully searched as if we were terrorists (I should point out that I was with my 14-year-old daughter and her 15-year-old friend who were terribly shocked). It goes without saying that all our products went in the trash and we arrived at the boarding area in tears.

I will never deal with this incredibly inefficient agency again!!!
