What to know about Voyage Privé: luxury travel within reach

Most of us were familiar with the concept of flash sales for retail, but who would have guessed that Voyage Privé would successfully apply that same model to tourism. The core idea is simple: offer luxury vacations at deep discounts for a limited window of 7 days, following the private sale principle.

Discounts of up to 70 percent

A group of French entrepreneurs took a chance on this in May 2006, launching the first website dedicated to private travel sales. It has been a successful run for this high-end travel agency, which today offers flash sales with discounts of up to 70 percent on stays, cruises, weekend getaways, vacation clubs, theme parks, thalassotherapy packages, and around-the-world trips to more than 56 million members.

The primary promise behind this success is take an all-inclusive vacation without breaking the bank.

Free registration to access offers

To access these appealing deals, there is one requirement: sign up for free as a privileged member of the Voyage Privé club.

Given the perks, it is an easy decision. Millions of subscribers have already signed up, drawn by the prospect of significant savings on luxury vacations that would otherwise be out of reach, access to a curated catalog of high-end hotels, and a selection that is often more extensive than what you find with competitors.

The trade-off: you cannot be indecisive

Luxury comes with a catch. You must be prepared to decide quickly and stick with your choice because the offers only last for 7 days, bookings are non-refundable, and for packages that include airfare, you will only receive your flight details 5 days before departure.

These conditions can feel a bit nerve-wracking, but with steady revenue growth and a team of 1,200 employees, it is clear that the model has found its audience.

Great deals

I had the chance to book my vacation with Voyage Privé once, and everything went really well. There are tons of offers available, though some are more interesting than others. You shouldn't hesitate to keep an eye on the offers, which change every day. The downside is that it can take some time to find the right deal, but it also allows for some great savings.

Regular and varied deals

This site regularly offers super advantageous and varied promotional deals (I imagine these are unsold spots from tour operators). The best offers go pretty quickly, so stay on your toes and be flexible to take advantage of them.

Not disappointed

I went to the Dominican Republic with one of their deals for an all inclusive hotel.
Everything went well.

Watch out before you book

I have used this site several times to go on vacation. There is not always as much choice as with other big travel operators, but if you dig around a bit, you can sometimes find some real gems at a bargain price. You do have to dig though, and compare prices, because the discounts they show sometimes seem unrealistic to me.

Good deals from time to time

Some of the discounts shown are sometimes exaggerated, and sometimes not! It has happened that I went on an all-inclusive week-long trip for less than €1000 (about $1075)!

Check it regularly ;)

You have to sift through it, but there are some real deals

The site is a bit messy with a lot of offers. Some are fake deals, where they show big discounts but you can find the same price elsewhere.
On the other hand, sometimes there are offers that are really interesting, with rates much lower than what you find at other agencies. Generally, these deals go fast.
So, you shouldn't hesitate to look at what they offer and compare the prices.

Surprisingly responsive customer service

I made a mistake on a reservation and I expected it to be a real struggle to get it fixed (discount price means no customer service, right?), but surprisingly, I was able to get help quickly and efficiently. It gives me a good impression of the company.

The Balearic Islands for under €500

I was able to head to the Balearic Islands at the beginning of July with a package for less than €500 (flight + accommodation).

Classy.

Selection not always complete but attractive prices

Site I use for last-minute bookings.
They don't always have the hotel category we want, in the location we want, but you can find some really interesting prices.

Potentially great deals for those in the know

You have to spend a fair amount of time following the offers on this site, because not all of them are worth it. You already need to have an idea of prices for the destination or the type of accommodation you are interested in to spot the real deals when they come your way. In that case, you can get some good bargains... Otherwise, it is pretty hit or miss...

My review of Voyage Privé (discounts up to 70%)

Hello, I tried the site voyages privés.com, which offers trips in France and abroad at discounted prices (up to -70%). My stay went really well. No unpleasant surprises for a very attractive price (I have been traveling for over 25 years). Best regards. Review imported on 11/04/2020 from our old site Voyage-Net.com

Re: Voyage Privé - Your reviews: Antalya tour

My husband and I were lucky enough to have a trip to Turkey gifted to us by our family through Voyage Privé. The trip, the country, the region, and the scenery were magnificent!!! The only downside was the guide, MOUSTAPHA, nicknamed MOUSTI, or for some, the Moustiraki. Since raki is the local drink!! This young man's presence was of no use to most people in the group. He is a ghost guide!!!! He eats alone, never walks through the dining room to see if everything is okay, never helped anyone traveling alone or anyone having trouble carrying their luggage, and if you have a problem, don't even bother calling his number because he is nowhere to be found, etc...... Even more serious for a trip for two costing about €500 (about $540) for half-board, we visited:
a) 1 carpet factory (silk, cotton) with magnificent works, but not within our budget! When we got back on the bus, he took the liberty of making comments to us, pointing out that in the other bus they had made €10,000 (about $10,800) in purchases!
b) 1 jewelry store with 5-figure prices!! Souks or markets would have suited us better.
c) 1 leather and fur shop, where some products were affordable, but still!
To finish, I definitely would have enjoyed this trip much more if the guide had done his job correctly, or if he had organized outings, even free time, in the souks. But oh well! Despite everything, this trip will stay in my mind because I saw magnificent things and met some super nice people! For future Voyage Privé travelers heading to ANTALYA, be careful. If you hear that your guide is named Moustapha (short, long hair, rather good-looking), do not expect high-quality service!!

My thoughts on Voyage Privé

Hi, I just got back from a trip to Turkey organized by Voyage Privé. Given the reviews I had read about this site, I was nervous about going. But in the end, the trip went well. It is true that for the price I paid, it was decent; the hotels were a bit old but clean, and the guide was okay. The trip was organized properly. On the other hand, I had not received an email with my flight times. Luckily, I checked my account and saw that the airport boarding pass was there.
