What to know about Navan
A modern approach to business travel
Founded in 2015 in Palo Alto, California, Navan is the brainchild of entrepreneurs including Ariel Cohen and Ilan Twig. Their goal was to simplify and modernize business travel management through high-performance, intuitive digital tools. Recognizing that organizing these trips remained complex and time-consuming, they sought to provide a technological solution that improves the experience for both companies and their employees.
Digital services at the core of the offer
Navan, formerly known as TripActions, quickly established itself as an innovator in the B2B travel agencies sector. The company offers an all-in-one platform that integrates booking, expense management, and corporate travel policy tracking. Accessible via a mobile app and a web portal, this solution aims to reduce costs while streamlining processes for end users. Companies can also customize their travel policies and generate detailed reports to better control their spending.
An international footprint
Since its inception, Navan has expanded its reach and now maintains offices in several major cities around the world, including London, Sydney, Amsterdam, and New York. This global presence allows the company to meet the diverse needs of a worldwide client base and provide support tailored to each local market.
Key strengths and differentiators
Navan highlights its technology-driven approach, which includes the use of artificial intelligence for personalized recommendations and real-time support. The platform stands out for its intuitive interface, designed for both travelers and corporate managers. It intends to differentiate itself from competitors by offering responsive service and flexible solutions adapted to companies of all sizes. Seamless integration with third-party tools like SAP Concur or Slack is also among its major advantages.
As a review collection platform, the Avygeo team is not in the habit of posting its own reviews. And yet, in the case of Navan, this B2B travel agency that tried to pose as a partner, it seems important to warn our readers about the misleading commercial policies of this company.
They had promised us an attractive promotional offer to be obtained after placing an initial order. Despite the complicated interface, translated into clunky French, and flight prices much higher than the competition, we still agreed to make the effort to test it.
Except that once the order was placed, we were told that the promotional offer was not applicable (despite the initial written proposal). Many of our complaints went unanswered, and in the end, the responses we did get politely said they could not care less.
In short:
- Misleading commercial proposals
- Excessive prices
- Confusing interface
Anyway, a scam to avoid
