The worst airline ever

Air Algérie is quite simply the worst airline in the world. I am not just talking about the deplorable quality of service, or the sub-zero level of the staff (they have zero professional conscience and could not care less about the concept of "customers"). I am also not only thinking about the state of the cabins (it feels like being in a dump). No, no, no, I am talking about everyone's safety. An airline that counts mice as passengers (in the cargo hold) should be banned from European skies.

The quality of aircraft maintenance and technical services reflects the state of the country, which is pathetic. Passengers are in mortal danger on this airline.

I traveled for the last time on Air Algérie coming back to Nice last week, and I assure you that I will never set foot in an Air Algérie plane again. I am afraid of these people. It is true, but I am also fed up with being ripped off by people who do not care about schedules and who yell at you when the planes are late (it is the world turned upside down).

Furthermore, by asking friends around me, I realize that there are delays and technical problems daily on Air Algérie routes, DAILY, which forces me to believe that we will not avoid an air disaster on this cursed airline anytime soon.

I will never get on one of their planes again. As long as we do not have foreign expertise, French, English, or American in management, I will not risk it.

Conclusion: do not set foot in an Air Algérie plane again. Personally, I prefer to do Marseille-Algiers on Air France or even a good Nice / Paris / Algiers route to:

1 - give my money to a serious company that respects me.

2 - avoid dying in one of those Air Algérie wrecks.

Air Algérie??? Hachakoum.

Safe and often cheaper than Air France

I have flown with them several times to get to Algeria. There are not many other alternatives, but despite that, it is a safe airline, the prices are often more attractive, and the food is good!

Air Algérie is taking advantage of its monopoly...

When it comes to flying to Algeria from France, you do not have a ton of choices. Air Algérie is one of the only airlines serving the Algiers airport from France. I do not know the real reasons for this quasi-monopoly that feels irrational (administrative blocks???)... Still, this situation is great for the Algerian national airline at the expense of the consumers. Plane tickets are very expensive considering the distances traveled, the planes are frequently delayed, and it is highly recommended to arrive early for boarding to avoid being a victim of aggressive overbooking (and yes, you can find yourself stuck at the airport because the flight you booked a seat on is full...). Air Algérie- Zero stars

Customer service is trash!!!
They cancel flights without warning and don't respond when you try to get a refund.
And the Paris Opéra branch is super useless.

A total disgrace!!!
Don't forget, you represent a nation!

My thoughts on Air Algérie

After reading the various, awful comments about this airline, we hesitated for a long time before buying our tickets (Marseille/Ouagadougou). Then, I admit that it was the price, the best on the market, that made up our minds. Now that we are back, we are rushing to leave a new review to absolutely refute what we had read: Marseille/Algiers went very well. Algiers/Ouaga had a 2 hour delay, justified immediately by the captain in person, who explained to us that for our safety, due to a sandstorm in Ouaga making it impossible to land, we would not leave right away. In an instant, they served us water and little Algerian cookies, and offered all their apologies! All of that with the smile and hospitality the Algerian people are known for. Upon arrival in Ouaga, more apologies from the airline manager! The return trip went very well, with no delays, and the staff was always very attentive. The staff, including the captain, were of an exemplary kindness that I have never seen on any other airline. Highly recommended without hesitation, we felt safe the whole time.
