ITA Airways, an acronym for Italia Trasporto Aereo, was founded in October 2020 to succeed the former national carrier Alitalia. Created by the Italian government, the airline aims to provide modern, efficient, and sustainable air travel while serving as a flag carrier for Italy on the international stage. Its headquarters are in Rome, and it primarily operates flights out of Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate.
The airline was designed to provide high quality service and a refreshed passenger experience, while inheriting a portion of Alitalia’s assets to maintain Italy’s aviation legacy.

The carrier offers domestic, European, and intercontinental flights to various destinations in the Americas, Asia, and Africa. I took this airline twice to get to Rome. I chose it mainly because the flight times worked for me. Despite a little delay, I didn't run into any specific trouble, but the price remains expensive for the quality of service. The seats aren't very comfortable, the plane models are old, and the staff isn't always pleasant. It stays convenient for getting to Rome. However, I prefer Transavia or EasyJet if possible, as they are more reliable. For long-haul flights, I have no desire to try the experience at all. Two of my friends ended up with their luggage in sorry shape.
