Visiting this historic symbol of Barcelona was a bit of a letdown for me. There is not much to see inside, and if you have to pay, I suggest you save your money. Take advantage of the free entry times, especially on Sundays, if you want to check it out. Only the lovely views of the city and the port of Barcelona are worth the trip. For me, it is skippable.

It is one of the precious testaments to Gaudi's life in Barcelona. The exterior facade, all wavy, is very surprising. I highly recommend visiting the interior to extend the experience. All the decor seems alive. The roof, with its fascinating warrior figures that act as chimneys, offers a superb view of the neighborhood. Not to be missed if you love architecture.

I discovered Casa Batlló during my stay in Barcelona and I was pretty surprised by its architecture. Without being totally won over, I found the building very original, especially with its colorful facade and its atypical shapes inspired by nature. It is Gaudi without a doubt! I really enjoyed visiting this house, and the entrance price is, for once, quite reasonable. There is quite a bit to see inside, including the highlight of the show, the stunning terrace that overlooks the city. If you are in a rush, at least take the time to admire the facade.

Casa Batlló is, to say the least, very original and typical of Antoni Gaudi's work. Its wavy facade, mask-shaped balconies, and the roof that evokes a dragon are worth a look. Touring the building is pleasant, but I found the entry price really very high for what you actually see in the end. A bit too expensive for my taste, even if I don't regret going.

It is hard to miss this symbol of Barcelona, or even of Spain, during a visit. I remained skeptical looking at the exterior, because this construction site that is nearly 150 years old, and looks like an architect's ego trip, really makes you wonder. On the other hand, the interior amazed me. The colors of the stained glass windows, and the light coming through them, are magnificent. The height of the vaults, the decorations, and the floral patterns on the ceilings make the space dizzying. It is a shame that you cannot fully enjoy it with the constant crowds.
