Visiting Baldi Hot Springs
A thermal complex in the heart of the rainforest
Located near the city of La Fortuna, at the foot of the Arenal Volcano, Baldi Hot Springs is known for its lush surroundings. This thermal complex features several natural pools fed by volcanic waters, providing a relaxing experience in the middle of nature. The layout blends tropical vegetation with modern amenities.
Pools for every preference
The site includes about twenty pools of various sizes and temperatures, ranging from 25 to 50 degrees Celsius (77 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit). Some pools are quiet and suited for relaxation, while others are equipped with waterfalls or jets for a natural massage. Visitors can choose based on their preferences and heat tolerance.
Activities and on-site services
Beyond the thermal baths, Baldi offers facilities like water slides for thrill-seekers, as well as swim-up bars to sip a cocktail while enjoying the warm water. A spa is also available for treatments and massages, rounding out the relaxation experience.

After quite a few hassles with the 4x4, a budget busted by the parks, and a lot of disappointment regarding the animals, I really enjoyed my stay in La Fortuna. This pleasant little vacation town is located at the foot of the Arenal volcano.
There are multiple hot springs set up, like Baldi, which is considered the most beautiful and best decorated. Those on a tighter budget can head to the free hot springs frequented by the locals.
