For vacation

For vacations abroad or far away, it is great. No need to make the trip with your own car. You can take a plane or train and then pick up your rental car on-site. They have offers for just about every train station and airport.

Just a comparison site

DiscoverCars isn't strictly a car rental company, but rather a comparison site, broker, or middleman (I am not sure what the right term is).
The advantage is that you get access to a ton of agencies of different sizes, including small local players. The downside is that, as a result, the quality and reliability of the service can vary significantly from one offer to another, without you really being able to tell the difference.

Great prices

I never know if it is actually an advantage to go through an intermediary. They negotiate the rates and terms for us, but at the same time, they have to make a profit somehow.
The conclusion I have reached with DiscoverCars is that the rates I found are pretty good for Canada.

Free cancellation works, thanks!

I went through them because I had found a great rate for a weekend in Bordeaux.
Finally, I had to cancel, and that is when I was afraid that the "great rate" would turn against me. I thought they would probably find some lame excuse not to refund me, despite what was advertised on the site.
Well, no! No problem at all!

(It is still pretty sad to have to be happy that a brand keeps its promises, that should be the norm)

Great prices

Solid service
