Les Jardins de Beauval: An Indonesian escape in the Loire Valley
Les Jardins de Beauval, owned by the Delord family who also run the ZooParc de Beauval, offers a distinct change of pace for guests. Opened in 2008, this 3-star hotel draws direct inspiration from Indonesia and its crown jewel, Bali, through architecture and decor that create an exotic, low-key vibe.
An Indonesian theme for a complete change of scenery
The property stands out for its Balinese atmosphere. You will find pavilions finished with wood carvings and marble, all set within lush gardens traversed by a winding stream. This immersive experience is bolstered by a design that balances traditional elements with modern creature comforts.
Spacious rooms for 3 to 5 people
Les Jardins de Beauval features 112 spacious rooms styled with Indonesian accents and views of the surrounding greenery. There are 3 categories available:
-
Superior Triple Room: Designed for up to 3 guests, it includes one double bed or two singles, plus an extra bench bed.
-
Superior Quadruple Room: Built for 4 guests, it includes a double bed or two singles, a separate small room with bunk beds (the top bunk is for children over 6), and a bathtub.
-
Junior Suite: Sleeping up to 5 people, this suite is equipped with a canopy double bed, a bench bed, a single rollaway bed, a lounge area with a sofa and armchairs, and a bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub.
Note that a crib can be added to your room upon request, subject to availability.
Spa, pool, and exotic flavors
A spa modeled after Balinese traditions is available to guests, offering a range of treatments and massages for deep relaxation. The hotel also features a seasonally heated outdoor pool, perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. Children can burn off extra energy in the playground.
The hotel restaurant, Tegallalang, serves exotic dishes that mix Indonesian specialties with international plates. Meals are served as an all-you-can-eat buffet for breakfast (included with your stay) and dinner (~30 EUR / about $33). The Kebaya bar provides a relaxed space to enjoy cocktails and refreshments while playing billiards or foosball.
A prime location for regional exploration
Located just a 5-minute walk from the ZooParc de Beauval, the hotel provides easy access to one of the area's top draws. Guests can also easily reach the Loire Valley chateaux, local vineyards, and the surrounding historic villages.

A bit more expensive than the others in the area, but it has a nice pool, super bright rooms, a spa (treatments cost extra), and the zoo is just a stone's throw away (keeping in mind that is why we came).
