One of the best airlines

In my opinion, Emirates is one of the best airlines out there.
I particularly appreciate the comfort on board, the impeccable cleanliness, the quality of the meals, as well as the friendliness of the staff.
Snacks are also handed out during the night, which are good and tasty. It makes a real difference compared to other airlines.
Everything is designed to make the trip pleasant.
An excellent option, especially for long-haul flights.

Super convenient for long flights to Asia

Used them to go to Nepal, with a layover in Dubai. Service was really top notch, good meals, plane was clean and comfortable. Price wasn't the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. I recommend them for long flights to Asia.

One of the best airlines in the world

Emirates is one of the best airlines in the world.

They are top notch. In economy, you feel like you are in business class on Air France... (I am exaggerating a little, but it is not that far from the truth).

The best for long-haul flights

Of all the airlines I have tried, I find this is the best one to take when you are heading to long-haul destinations since it is cheaper.

The gold standard

Hello, I just finished a trip to Bangkok with Emirates in first class.

This trip will remain the gold standard for luxury and onboard service (Dom-Perignon and caviar), things we haven't seen on Air France for a long time.

Gentlemen of the management team, get down from your ivory tower and go see the competition. You will be surprised by your own mediocrity.

Quality going downhill over time

I have been flying with Emirates for several years now to Australia or Thailand, which is where I meet up with my daughter who lives in Australia. We both have always chosen this airline. However, for the last 2 years, the service has been going downhill.

First of all, like all airlines, when you call for information you end up on a call center. My daughter was on hold for over an hour for a booking change (which cost extra).

But the most annoying part is the takeoff delays in Dubai. During my last trip to Phuket, with a layover in Bangkok, my plane was an hour late. I missed my connection. On my return flight from Bangkok, there was overbooking. I ended up flying on China Airlines (a garbage airline). When I asked for a refund for my ticket that I was forced to rebook (Bangkok to Phuket), Emirates refused and told me to contact my credit card insurance instead. That case is still pending.

As for my daughter, for her return trip to Australia last February, she was denied boarding in Dubai after her layover. Her booking had been cancelled. We still have no explanation to this day, even though she is a silver status loyalty member.

I am not sure if I will fly with this airline again for our future trips.

Zero flexibility from customer service

Emirates has a good sales department, but their customer support is non-existent. I would not recommend this airline if you think you might need to change your ticket.

For example, on a Melbourne-KUL-Dubai-Paris flight, asking to only take the KUL-Dubai-Paris leg (basically giving Emirates the Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur portion for free), without even changing the date, is like asking them to move heaven and earth.
