Evaneos, the leader in custom travel agencies

Usually, I plan my trips myself, but I went through Evaneos to organize a trip with my parents who need a bit more structure. The experience didn't disappoint me. Unlike a classic agency, the experience is personalized to really match our needs and wants. I was pleasantly surprised.

I tested out Evaneos in Egypt for my father's 70th birthday, as he was a little nervous about traveling just the two of us. Depending on the destination, Evaneos offers local, French-speaking receptive partners. These partners are handpicked and also evaluated by travelers. This avoids paying high commission fees to French agencies that end up sending you to local operators anyway. Several itineraries are proposed based on the length of the trip and your budget. You can then discuss with the partners to get a custom quote.

Evaneos put me in touch with a local professional who organized a completely personalized trip to Brazil for me. I had several exchanges with this professional, who really knew how to give advice while listening to what was truly important to me.

In the end, it was a bit pricey, but a truly unforgettable experience.

In conclusion, if your goal is to have a trip that is uniquely yours, off the beaten path, but guided by local experts to avoid any nasty surprises, Evaneos is for you.

If you just want a quick look at the main tourist spots, you will find cheaper options with a traditional agency.

If you want total adventure, left to your own devices, and at your own risk, head out without an agency :)

I had an excellent stay in the Cyclades archipelago in Greece. The local guide who organized and booked my activities found exactly what fit me, from crazy nights in Mykonos and cultural visits in Santorini to postcard perfect or unique beaches like the one in Milos (Sarakiniko).
I am pretty sure I could not have found all that by myself. Likewise, I would not have had everything I wanted if I had booked a pre-packaged offer from a standard agency.

I love the concept of trips organized specifically for you by locals!

I went to Mexico with them and I recommend it. I was a little scared to trust a local agency, but I was given really good advice by the agent who helped me avoid tourist traps. We really wanted to leave a review for Evaneos. My husband and I just got back from a 3-week trip to Burma. I am not going to tell you everything, but the organization was perfect. Jean Yves, our local contact, took the time to explain the life and customs of this wonderful country to us. Our driver was good and very punctual. He knew how to adapt to our wishes. The accommodations were also very good (except at Inle Lake). We were able to see everything we wanted and right on time. I think we are going to go back to Asia very soon, maybe Laos.

We just got back from our trip to Vietnam. Out of all the trips we have taken, this was by far the best organized. The three guides who accompanied us, each with their own unique style, were true pros. The drivers, the hotels, the tours, the commentary, the restaurants, the train, the plane, the homestay (a total wonder), and what can I say about the night on a boat in Ha Long Bay, everything was perfect.
