Mixed feelings

I stayed in a gite found on the "Charme et Tradition" website in the village of Luxey in the Landes region: Le jardin de Bernard, for which the reviews are particularly glowing. Unfortunately, the reality was quite different and I posted a critical comment on the "Charme et Tradition" site:

Le jardin de Bernard: Mixed stay, as the owner's husband was rude and irritable.

The owner of the bed and breakfast is very friendly and welcoming, and our stay would have been perfect if her husband hadn't treated us more like intruders than guests. He was rude, irritable, and borderline insulting.

Bravo

We went (as a couple) to spend one night with dinner at Ms. Roué's place in Plouider, locality Kersehen. A charming welcome, a well-kept room, and everything was perfect. The dinner was delicious with local products. A Breton breakfast with fresh crepes made right in front of us. Pure bliss. And a very fair price. Lovely experience in Brittany

Plouider, a village in Northern Finistere, close to the sea, a most friendly bed and breakfast. Claudine Roué works wonders in the kitchen with local dishes. It is delicious, inventive cooking that shows her great generosity. Pierre, for his part, is especially welcoming and completely unpretentious, a source of information about this region that he knows by heart. Many vegetables have the freshness of his vegetable garden for our tasty pleasure. Both of them share the meal with us in a relaxed atmosphere, treating us like friends. The breakfasts are extra. In short, a house in the countryside, the hamlet of Kersehen, surrounded by a colorful garden where you feel right at home. Nearby, there are seaside or inland sites that are as exciting as they are varied. A lovely place where it is great to stay, where you want to come back, just like I personally did.
