A beach worth the trip off-season

In the summer, it is really too crowded to fully enjoy this beach. But off-season, it can be very nice. The walk on the boardwalk is as pleasant as can be. For those with a lot of money to spend, the nearby restaurants will be perfect. For others, you might need to head a little further away to see the prices come back down.

Romantic for couples

Deauville Beach has all the charm of the seaside resorts on the Côte Fleurie! Its colorful umbrellas in the summer, the Bains Pompéiens, the boardwalk, and the names of American stars on the concrete railings between the beach cabins, plus the magnificent sunsets in the spring and fall... not the wildest beach, of course, but a must when you are passing through Deauville.

An impressionist paradise

This beach always impresses me with its vastness. I always get the feeling that the sea and the sky never end. Watching the horses go by and the pinkish-orange glow of the sunset, as splendid as an impressionist painting, remains my favorite sight in Deauville. A walk on Les Planches, especially at night when there is no one around, is always very pleasant. To enjoy the view of the famous colorful umbrellas, head to the Bar du Soleil, which offers good cocktails right on the sand. Unfortunately, on sunny days, the beach gets swarmed and you lose a lot of the magic of the setting.

An iconic spot in Deauville

You can't skip this beach when you visit Deauville. Walking on the boardwalk is really pleasant, especially if you like cinema and celebrities. You will find plenty of restaurants with a very nice view but they are quite expensive. Get a little further away to find more affordable prices.

All that hype for this?

Nice beach, but nothing to write home about. The water isn't crystal clear, it's cold, and the sand is nothing special. So, yes, there are colorful umbrellas and beach huts with the names of movie stars. There are also restaurants and cafes that charge the same prices as the fancy neighborhoods in Paris.
Anyway, like I said, nice, but the reputation is really not deserved.
