Our story
Green Earth Trails is a Kerala tour operator based in Kochi, founded by Benjamin John. Since 2008 we have designed bespoke, culture-led journeys for international travellers, and became a Ministry of Tourism accredited operator in 2025. We started it to share Kerala the slow way: fewer stops, deeper experiences, and time spent with the people and places that shape the region.
Our offer
We design private, bespoke Kerala itineraries: culture and heritage tours, slow-travel journeys, wildlife and birding, backwaters and tea country, cultural arts and cycling. Each trip is planned around the traveller and led by local guides and driver-hosts who know the region. We cover all of Kerala, from Kochi and Munnar to Wayanad and the north, with neighbouring South India on request.
What sets us apart
We are a Ministry of Tourism accredited operator that builds each itinerary from scratch, not a fixed-package or transport service. Our strength is local depth: guides and driver-hosts who open up Kerala's culture, wildlife and everyday life. Fares are fixed and shown before you travel, and one contact stays with you throughout, from first message to the experiences we arrange along the way.
Who is it for?
We work with international travellers who want more than a checklist tour: culture-curious visitors, slow-travel and experiential travellers, couples, families and special-interest groups. Each gets an itinerary shaped to their pace and interests, whether that is heritage and cultural arts, wildlife and birding, backwaters and tea country, or cycling. First-time visitors get an accredited operator and one contact throughout.
