Name change at Opodo

I booked a flight ticket in February for June and accidentally swapped my daughter's first and last name on the registration form. Realizing it immediately, I contacted them and they told me, "It's not a problem, we will fix the situation." Having no news, I contacted them several times, 5 times to be exact. In the meantime, I received an email warning me of a change of airline, and this, without asking for my opinion and obviously without fixing the ticket in my daughter's name. After 2 months of waiting, someone contacted me to announce that I had to cancel my ticket, without any refund, and buy a new ticket, but obviously not at the price of 350 euros anymore, but at 424 euros... Cancellation insurance is a hassle to use

Canceling an Opodo flight due to surgery! (I signed up for travel insurance) It was a total nightmare!! It took months to get the detailed flight invoice, emails went unanswered!!! My take on Opodo

Hello. I booked a flight more than 10 months in advance (in October 2016 for July 2017) to have the shortest possible wait during layovers, but I just received a change to my flight that makes me wait 2 hours longer at the Madrid airport.

I contacted Iberia, who told me that Opodo was responsible for these changes.

I just spoke with their customer service on the phone (over 10 minutes of waiting at €0.80/min!!!) and they told me that the reservation had not changed, but on the electronic ticket they sent me, the modification is there. I called back (10 minutes of waiting again... I will let you do the math in €) and the agent who answered told me she would make the change, all while explaining that she could not make any modifications... And finally, she hung up on me!

Opodo, avoid at all costs

A site to avoid at all costs! I booked a flight for 3 people and received a confirmation email, with an Opodo confirmation number as well as a booking number for the airline Etihad. The flight times were attached along with the names of the passengers, and for me, there was no doubt that the reservation was confirmed.<br>2 days before the flight, I tried to check in online and, surprise, on Opodo they recognize my booking number, with the passenger names and flight details, but they tell me there is a problem with the reservation. It was the same thing on the Etihad website. I called Opodo (which, with a 30-minute call at 80 cents per minute, is far from free!), and they confirmed that my booking had been canceled a long time ago and that I had been notified by email... Except that for unknown reasons (email never arrived, or went to spam that I don't check and which gets deleted after a while), I never knew about this cancellation!!!!!<br>Extreme disappointment, especially for the kids, finding out 2 days before departure that we aren't going anymore!!!<br>1st point: I find it absurd that a confirmation message still needs to be confirmed (basically, you have to confirm the confirmation!!). As long as the airline hasn't validated the file, it should be put on hold instead of making you believe it's a done deal.<br>2nd point: In my opinion, a cancellation should at the very least be "doubled": sent by email plus sent by text or phone call or mail, etc... or subject to a read receipt, so that you are sure the person actually received it...<br>For me, I am done with Opodo, Promovacances, Partir Pas Cher. From now on, I will get price ideas from them and then I will book directly on the airline's website... I highly encourage you to do the same, especially since the price differences are not always huge, or even nonexistent, and there are better guarantees!

Error on plane tickets in Brazil

Hello,

1) I ordered 2 tickets from Curitiba to Foz do Iguaçu. I received an invoice from the airline in dollars!!

2) OPODO informed us of a flight change with 2 options, and we chose the most acceptable one. We were supposed to check in 24 hours before the flight, according to OPODO. But when we went to check in, OPODO had us departing from Curitiba to go to Vitoria (in the north of Brazil)!!!!!

3) Financial loss, a scare, and a lot of frustration...... OPODO denies all responsibility!!!!!!

CONCLUSION: OPODO books more bad surprises than plane tickets!!!
